Remodelling your cherished pieces into a reimagined bespoke design is a truly personal process. I'm delighted to offer a remote design service, exclusively for clients within the UK, making it possible to reimagine wherever you are.

 

We will work closely together through virtual or phone consultations and design sketches, to visualise and transform your cherished heirlooms into a design you will love to wear.

Finding your perfect fit — remote ring and bangle sizing

​

Getting the perfect fit for your bespoke items is crucial. While in-person fittings are ideal, I understand that they may not always be possible. That's why I offer a remote ring sizing kit to ensure your bespoke ring fits comfortably and sits beautifully.

Here's how the process works:

1. Consultation: You get in touch to request an initial complimentary consultation via Zoom, or over the phone.
    

2. Quotes: You securely send me your precious pieces for me to draw up designs and estimate prices. (Postage cost covered by client).
    

3. Reserve: We confirm and secure the design with your deposit, 50% of the total value. 
    

4. Sizing samples: If appropriate I'll send you a set of metal ring or bangle sizing samples for the most accurate fit. These allow you to try different sizes at home and determine what feels most comfortable. (Postage is inclusive of your final agreed quote).

   5. Check in: We can schedule a brief video or phone call to discuss               your findings and any questions you may have.

 

   6. Return: Your sizing tools are returned to me at your earliest                       convenience. (Postage cost is covered by the client).

   7. Confirmation: Once we've determined the correct size,

       we'll proceed with your commission. 
 

 

Tips for accurate sizing

• Measure at different times of day: Finger sizes can vary throughout the day due to temperature and activity levels.
   

• A good fit has friction when going over the knuckle and room to breathe on the base of the finger. 
   

• Consider factors like hand temperature: Cold weather can cause fingers to shrink slightly.
   

• Measure multiple fingers: If you plan to wear the ring on a specific finger, measure that finger multiple times for the most accurate reading.​

This method ensures a custom fit by allowing you to directly visualise the ideal length.

• Drape the string around your neck while standing in front of a mirror.

​

• Experiment with different lengths, considering your typical necklines and whether a pendant will be included (which adds to the overall drop). Ensure it feels comfortable and allows free movement.

• Mark the string once you've found the perfect resting point.

​

• Carefully remove and measure the marked string from end to end.

​

• Optional: Take photos of yourself with the string at the desired length for reference.

• Mirror

Method 1: For drop/dangle earrings

• Determine how far down your earrings will hang from your piercing.

​

• Stand in front of a mirror.

​

• Imagine or hold a slender object (like a pencil) at your earlobe's piercing point, letting it hang.

​

• Measure from your piercing hole downwards to where you want the earring to sit, considering how it frames your face.

​

• Note this as your desired drop length.

Method 2: For studs or overall dimensions

For studs or to determine the total size of a design (like a hoop or a wider earring).

​
